AT 501 Analyser

The device is intended for maintenance and inspection of spark ignition engines and using the AT 601 module also Diesel engines.

The AT 501 is a four-gas analyser employing the NDIR method for determining CO, CO2 and HC concentrations while an electrochemical cell measures O2 content.

Other features allow adjusting vehicle ignition system and testing systems equipped with catalytic converter and oxygen sensor.

The device allows the emission inspection of vehicles according to national legislation without the need of other equipment. Measured data or a complete inspection protocol can be printed using a built-in printer.

The data can be transmitted via serial line into a PC for next processing and/or storage.

AT501 + AT 601

Using the Smoke Analyser Module AT 601L, the device AT 501 can be used as an opacimeter performing smoke analysis of Diesel engines.

The method is based on measuring the attenuation of light beam in a cell filled with the measured smoke.

Both steady-state and acceleration measurements are possible. The acceleration test (obligatory during the emission inspection) registers the idle and overspeed revolutions, ac-celeration time and peak opacity.

Other measured quantities include engine speed (variety of sensors avai-lable), injection advance and oil temperature.

The results of particular measurement as well as the result of acceleration test can be printed on a built-in printer.
